Hi Tony,as a fellow gamer, I really appreciate the idea about the post that enlightened us the relationship between games and real life.

I would like to add another point that, in my opinion, what game might thought us about life.
Game could open our eyes or introduces us to entirely different perspective. I would like to say that some of the game may act as 'simulator' in some part of the life. For example, gamers can feel what it's like to fly a airplane with a flight simulator. The gamers also know that being a pilot need a great concentration and some factors such as latitude, speed, fuel need constantly monitored.
Another example is most common first person shooter game. If the game has promising and engaging story, it also can turn into some sort of simulator game as the player totally immerse to the game. The player may simulate into a soldier, thus player may experience frustration for being push into the corner by the enemies and may feel relief when the reinforcement come to the rescue, or if the plot demand, the experience being betrayed or being force to executed an innocent.

As the conclusion, a game that act as simulator will engage the gamer to experience something that they never had before, though it is not a quarantined that someone have experience playing flight simulator game can become a full fledge pilot in real life. For this sort of games, it need some aspect of the game that may totally immerse the player to the game itself. It may be a engaging story, realistic graphic, or simple gameplay.

Hey Gtracer,
Sorry, my previous comment did not have the link to the article. I've fixed it. There are a ton of free Korean and Chinese MMOs for download also that come at the same design problems that western MMOs have, but solve the problems with different design choices. Those are good places to look at too.
Thanks!
