I have not been posting as often because I have been really busy with work and life outside of work. Speaking of life outside of work, my girlfriend and I watched Cable Guy again a few weeks ago and that convinced us to buy tickets to Medieval Times for this weekend. This is our first trip to Medieval Times ever and I am really excited to dork it up. I’ll be sure to take pictures.

Here is a great flash game that I’ve been having a lot of fun with called The Fancy Pants Adventures. It is a momentum based movement game with really great animations. It plays a lot like how Sonic the Hedgehog wishes it could.

Lastly I wanted to share World Builder, a beautiful short film by filmmaker Bruce Branit. He was the co-creator of 405. World Builder was shot in a single day and the postproduction took 2 years. The user interface for the 3D modeling is amazing. I wish the Unreal 3’s BSP editor worked liked that.

A Real Guitar Hero – Sungha Jung 12 Year Old Prodigy Fingerstyle Guitarist

Sungha Jung is a 12-year-old fingerstyle guitarist from South Korea. This kid makes me think I wasted my youth playing video games. As I watched his videos over the last few years, it is like watching Sungha Jung grow up. The thought of how YouTube has chronicled people’s lives is a little weird. It just makes you realize how much YouTube has changed our lives. In video game development YouTube is the greatest referencing tool there is. As a fellow game developer asked the question, “how did we ever copy stuff before YouTube?”

I have never really uploaded any videos to youtube before. So I decided to dig up some of the videos I made during film school a number of years back and set about uploading.

Lifted
Lifted is a car chase digital video shot with a few friends of mine over the course of a few weekends. It almost serves as a Ford commercial with both a Ford Focus as well as a Ford Mustang participating. The shoot took place on the freeways and streets of San Diego. Enjoy!

Tripod
Tripod is a group student film that we made over a few days of shooting. It was shot on 16mm film and was an attempt at telling an entire story from the perspective of feet.

I’ve got a few other self-made videos I can share still so I’ll occasionally upload some more and post them here in the future.
